Proforestree is owned and operated, hands-on, by one of Ontario’s Registered Professional Foresters (RPFs) and arborists, Joel McCracken. Joel graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Forest Science and Environmental Management degree in 2006. He became registered as a professional forester in Ontario in 2011 and an ISA-certified arborist in 2014.
Before attending university, Joel worked on his family-owned woodlot. During university, he planted and ran large-scale tree plant operations and a First Nations Natural Resources Youth Employment Program in Northern Ontario.
After graduating from university, Joel worked in the forest industry for the provincial government and finally for the City of Toronto before starting Proforestree in 2018. Joel has not looked back. Providing an honest and valuable service to customers is very rewarding.
Joel loves interacting with his many clients. He takes a great deal of pride in his work and loves the reward of seeing a client’s objective met.
Joel employs a small team of other professionals, including Tree Risk Assement-trained certified arborists and RPFs in training and some of the best Climbing arborists in the City, maybe the world.
